The role of the Development Worker is to contribute to the training of medical students in the new faculty of Medicine in Beira, Mozambique .
The principle purpose of the job is to participate in the training of the medical students using a problem base learning approach, facilitating tutorials and provision of training in practical skills and delivery of some formal lectures. For this to be successful and appropriate the successful candidates will also be expected to participate in the delivery of some patient care.

Fund Raising Officer for N’weti - MOZ005-001
The purpose is to develop and implement a fundraising strategy for long term sustainability of N’weti.
N'weti works within a budget of 2.5 to 3 million of Euros annually and thus need a person for this role with knowledge, skills and links with bigger International donors. The job includes a donor’s analysis followed by the development of a fundraising strategy and its subsequent implementation at national and international level which would allow N’weti to successfully implement its activities and ultimately benefit more communities.
N’weti is also part of the UNICEF/ASDI Joint Programme. The initiative’s over-riding goal is to ensure that increasingly, Government, national and local authorities, communities and families respect, protect and fulfil children’s rights. To this end, the programme will deliver increased capacity among all relevant stakeholders in order to work more effectively for the realisation of children’s rights in Mozambique . As part of the joint programme N’weti will be implementing a 3 year project aiming at promoting the children’s rights through community mobilization activities at schools in 5 provinces. The programme will target adolescents from 12 to 14 years old, school communities and children’s radio programmes.

Social Reintegration Officer, AMIMO – Associação de mineiros Moçambicanos (Mozambique Miners Association), Based in Inhambane, Mozambique - MOZ006-001
The main role of the placement is to support and develop the skills the AMIMO leadership and project staff through training, mentoring and advising. The work will involve capacity building in planning, fundraising for social reintegration of miners (dismissed from mining industries of South Africa), formal training, monitoring and follow-up and evaluation.

Fisheries Technologist, National Institute for the development of Small scale fisheries IDPPE) - MOZ007-001
The project aims to reduce poverty and support disadvantaged and marginalised communities in Mozambique through increasing the productivity of the small scale fisheries sub sector. The project will also provide institutional support and capacity building for IDPPE, and fishing groups with the aim of improving their internal organisation, strengthening their financial management, planning and developing their analytical and policy framework capacities thus enhancing their assistance to the small scale fisheries sub sector in Mozambique .
The placement has two main purposes:
- To improve the access to fish resources for artisan fishermen and achieve sustainable and commercially viable use of fish resources, by the fishermen.
- To advice on actions related to fishing technologies (fishing gear and methods), aiming at a rational increase and diversification of the fish catches in the country.

Community Development Advisor, National Institute for the Development of Small Scale Fisheries (IDPPE) - MOZ008-001
The Community Development placement is to design, research and plan programmes, define methodologies, analyse and interpret the information collected and design progress reports about community development actions as well as to promote capacity building courses, systematic monitoring and evaluation of the implementation of the community participatory development processes.
The overall purpose of this placement is to provide technical assistance on enhancing the communities capacities and participation in the processes of community development among the small scale artisan fishermen’s communities.

Project HOPE (Health Opportunities for People Everywhere) is a U.S. based international non-profit organization specializing in medical training and health care education programmes
This position is responsible for the management and supervision of the health program activities. The position will be expected to work closely with the Regional Supervisor and Health Coordinators in implementing the health program activities and evaluation. He/she will coordinate the development, revision and contextualization of the health education curricula; train and supervise staff in their use, coordinate identification, collation and gathering of training materials and create networks that will advance the interest of the organization. This position will involve frequent travels to other regions and to the field.

Research, Monitoring and Evaluation Officer, Swaziland Action Group Against Abuse (SWAGAA) - SWA012-001
The purpose of this role is to lead and coordinate research, monitoring and evaluation activities implemented at SWAGAA. S/He will also set up monitoring and evaluation systems including conducting baseline surveys and identifying and monitoring indicators, target setting and measure the impact of the programme.
The project aims to support survivors of abuse by enabling them to develop sustainable livelihoods and strengthening their voices at the familial, community, and national levels in raising awareness of the problem and advocating for the development of relevant policies in the area of Gender Based Violence (GBV).
