The climate of Mozambique, influenced by the monsoons from the Indian Ocean and the hot current of the Mozambique Canal, is generally tropical and humid. The dry season, in the Centre/North lasts for about four to six months, whereas in the South, the dry tropical climate lasts between six to nine months.
The rain season is between October to April.
Average temperatures are around 25 in the South and 30 in the North. Highest temperatures are normally registered during the rain season.
The Mozambique coast faces the Indian Ocean and because of its climate, warm waters and vast beach area is rich in many marine species, some of which are unfortunately in danger of extinction.
In the North the beaches are mainly rocky, whereas in the Centre, situated near the river mouths, we find what can be described as dry riverbed beaches bordered by extensive mangroves. The sandy beaches are to be found in the South, with high dunes covered with low rough vegetation.

Yes it does have a rough idea. They would like to set up a consulting department to consult to donors, partner NGOs and GOV in the field of health communication. The health communication and development field is very new in Mozambique . The inexistence of schools and/or educational programmes of health communication or communication for social change leads to the absence of human resources to respond to the high demand from the health and development sector. N’weti has been receiving growing requests for consulting services on health communication either for research, production, message development, etc. We believe that this is an opportunity to be capitalized and build partial sustainability for the organization .
Audit Proces: In order to ensure that established proceedings are followed, regular audits are carried out in accordance with the requirements of each donor. 1 (one) annual internal audit is carried out on behalf of Soul City . Each year the external donors carry out an audit of the programme. A third audit, only dealing with procurement contracts over EUR 5,000,00, is done every year upon request from the European Community.
The bookkeeping of operations is ensured by recourse to a computer bookkeeping programme called “Primavera Software”, and a system called “PIMMS Programme Implementation, Management and Monitoring System” has been established for the implementation and monitoring of the project .
Financial and administrative management of the N’weti programme is ensured by a Business Administration and Management professional at higher education level with more than 6 years of working experience. (Management is guided by management proceedings that adhere to high international management standards and cover areas such as budgets, administration (including human resources and property) and finances; and by reporting (reports are elaborated in accordance with the demands of each donor and consist of a descriptive and a financial sessions).
