About Gift Aid

You can make your donations to Skillshare International go even further, in fact they could be worth 28% more, and at no extra cost to you.

Under the UK Government's Gift Aid scheme, Skillshare International can claim back the tax you have already paid on your donation, whatever the size of your gift, and regardless of whether it is a one-off gift or a series of gifts. All you need to do is indicate on the donation form whether you are a UK taxpayer. We will do the rest.

In order for the Gift Aid scheme to apply:

  • You must pay an amount of income tax and/or capital gains tax at least equal to the amount Skillshare International reclaims on your gifts in the tax year - currently 28p for every £1 you give.
  • Please notify us if you change your name or address while this declaration is still in force.
  • If your circumstances change and you no longer pay enough tax to cover the amount Skillshare International will reclaim from the Inland Revenue, you can cancel the declaration at any time by notifying us. It will then not apply to donations you make on or after the date of cancellation or such later date as you specify.
  • If you pay tax at the higher rate you can claim further tax relief in your Self Assessment tax return.
