Could you Live Below the Line?

This month, Skillshare International's volunteers, staff and supporters are joining thousands of people across the UK living on just £1 each day for their food and drink. Please join our Live Below the Line challenge!

Volunteer projects in Africa and India 

Since June 2011, almost 200 Skillshare International volunteers have shared their time, energy and skills to help reduce poverty, injustice and inequality across Southern Africa, Tanzania and India.  Here are just a few of the projects they've supported:   

  • Fair Trade football Raising awareness of HIV and sexual health through football and helping to set up teams, a league and fixtures for girls and U15's in Lesotho and South Africa.
  • Helping to create radio dramas and documentaries, talk shows and adverts to share important health messages with young people in Swaziland.
  • Volunteering in rural TanzaniaSupporting women in rural Tanzania and India to develop small businesses.
  • Working with young people at Swaziland's High School for the Deaf to empower them with life skills and essential information about sexual and reproductive health.
