Volunteer projects in Africa and India
Since June 2011, almost 200 Skillshare International volunteers have shared their time, energy and skills to help reduce poverty, injustice and inequality across Southern Africa, Tanzania and India. Here are just a few of the projects they've supported:
Raising awareness of HIV and sexual health through football and helping to set up teams, a league and fixtures for girls and U15's in Lesotho and South Africa.
- Helping to create radio dramas and documentaries, talk shows and adverts to share important health messages with young people in Swaziland.
Supporting women in rural Tanzania and India to develop small businesses.
- Working with young people at Swaziland's High School for the Deaf to empower them with life skills and essential information about sexual and reproductive health.
Skillshare International's ICS volunteers spend three months working on projects that focus on building sustainable livelihoods, raising awareness of HIV and AIDS, gender justice and sport for development. Meet our volunteers...
